That is not the case anymore. White used to be popular in Eastern European countries, like Poland for example, but now it is catching on in Western Europe. The market share of white cars has actually doubled this past year in the Netherlands. Interestingly it is usually women who opt for this colour. Also, when brands like BMW and Lamborghini present their new models or show their concept cars, these are usually white. This just goes to show that white is no longer associated to company vans. White is trendy these days. :I've seen European car mags label it "resale suicide" to buy a white car over there. Personally, I think white suits most sports cars quite well, especially the Z.
